"Nice variety, and it’s easy to tweak the box"
I’ve been getting Hungry Harvest for a little while now, i’ve been happy with it. The produce mix is usually interesting and not just the same basic stuff every week, which is kind of what you hope for with something like this, right?
The customization is probably the biggest win for me. I can swap out things I know we won’t use and add more of the stuff we actually go through, so it feels a lot more practical than just getting a random box and hoping for the best.
I’m giving it 4 stars because every now and then something is smaller than expected or an item is missing, which is a little annoying. But overall, it’s been solid and convenient, and I feel like that’s fair.

"I really like the idea behind Hungry Harvest..."
I really like the idea behind Hungry Harvest. Like, cutting down on food waste and helping get fresh food to people who need it? Yeah, that’s the kind of thing I want to support. I felt good ordering from them for that reason alone. That said, my actual boxes were a little hit or miss. Sometimes I’d open one and think, okay, nice, I can work with this. Other times I’d see produce that was already close to turning and think, hmm… I need to use this literally today or it’s going in the trash, which kind of defeats the purpose. A few items also just weren’t things I’d normally use, so I had to get creative or they ended up sitting around. Overall, I still think the mission is great, and I do want services like this to succeed. I just wish the quality was more reliable, especially for the price.

"Delivery was all over the place"
The delivery timing just got really frustrating. It would say it was coming and then show up late, or sometimes not show up at all, and I’d be sitting there wondering if I missed something or if it was even on the way. I ended up having to contact support twice, and even after that I still didn’t really have a clear idea of when my box was coming. It just felt like way too much effort for something that’s supposed to be convenient, so yeah, I don’t think I’d keep using it.
"Never heard back from customer service"
I reached out about a problem with my order and just never got a proper reply. I even sent a follow up message and still nothing back. It’s annoying when you’ve already paid and cant even get basic help from someone.

"Decent value, but I keep second-guessing it"
I’m kind of torn on these boxes. Some weeks I open one and think, okay, that was actually worth it, and other weeks I’m wondering if I’m just convincing myself it’s a good deal. The prices seem fair enough, but the quality can really change from week to week.

The box was solid overall and most of the produce looked fresh. I did get one bruised apple, which was a little disappointing, but everything else was fine. Weirdly, I remember the apple had one tiny leaf still stuck to the stem, so I noticed it right away
